LONG POND, Pa. (May 2, 2017) – Admission is free for Pocono Raceway’s Pennsylvania Wing Fest, scheduled for Saturday, August 12.
Mouth-watering wings, an increase in vendors, $4,000 in prizes, live music and ice cold beverages are among the highlights of Pocono Raceway’s Pennsylvania Wing Fest.
A host of area restaurants and food service providers will be on hand to showcase the area’s best wings and compete for four $1,000 prizes in the 22nd annual Pennsylvania Wing Fest.
Parking is free at Pocono Raceway and there is no admission charge. Wing tickets are available for just $1.
Proceeds from Pocono Raceway’s Pennsylvania Wing Fest will benefit Monroe County Meals on Wheels.
Pocono Raceway’s Pennsylvania Wing Festival will run from noon to 5 p.m.
“Last year, Pocono Raceway and its staff performed a miracle by organizing the Pennsylvania Wing Festival, which replaced our annual Pocono Chicken Wing Off fundraiser,” said Monroe County Meals on Wheels Executive Director Heidi Fareri. “The competition was fierce, the crowds well-fed and entertained. This year you’ll find even more wing choices and more entertainment for all ages — and free admission! The Raceway’s and Mattioli Foundation’s ongoing generosity and commitment helped Monroe County Meals on Wheels provide nearly 3,000 meals in 2016. By supporting your favorite local restaurant in its quest to be number one in wings, you will also help your elderly and disabled homebound neighbors remain healthy and independent in their homes. Come see what everyone’s squawking about!”
Pocono Raceway’s Pennsylvania Wing Fest will run from noon to 5 p.m. Local celebrity judges will determine winners in four categories: Best Buffalo, Best Alternative, Hottest and Judge’s Choices.
In addition to live entertainment, a variety of food and beverages will be offered. Tricky’s Kit Kamp will be open during the event as well as other age-appropriate activities.
