Mattco Inc. Announces Promotions at Pocono Raceway


Mattco Inc., owner of Pocono Raceway has announced the promotions of several individuals. Brandon Igdalsky has been named President, Nick Igdalsky has been promoted to Sr. Vice President, Ashley Igdalsky to Assistant Secretary/Treasurer, Joseph Mattioli IV to 2nd Vice President, and Chase Mattioli to 3rd Vice President of both Pocono Raceway and the Mattioli family owned Mattco Inc. Patti Angeloni has been promoted to Vice President/Credentials for Pocono Raceway.

Brandon, Nick and Ashley Igdalsky as well as both Joseph IV and Chase Mattioli are the third generation of Mattioli’s to be actively involved in the company started by their grandparents, Dr’s. Joe and Rose Mattioli.

Patti Angeloni was promoted from Credential Manager to Vice President/Credentials has been with Pocono Raceway for over 14 years.

Mattco Inc. started in 1952 with $48 by Drs. Joe and Rose Mattioli. Over the past 55 years, the holdings of the Company have increased to approximately $600 million dollars. The 1st generation ran the Company from 1952 to 1970, when they were joined by the 2nd generation. On Saturday, July 7, 2007, the shareholders voted to start the 3rd generation in the business.

Acquisitions:
1960-

  • Pocono Laurel Lake – A 300-lot subdivision; built lake, roads, houses; family operated
  • Camelback Ski Area – Today the largest ski area in Pocono Mtns.
  • Center Square Golf Course – In suburban Philadelphia; an 18 hole championship course

1962-

  • Incorporated the Mattioli Company into Mattco Inc.
  • Made first investment in Pocono Raceway; guaranteed the mortgage and ended up paying for the land.

1966-

  • Made additional investments in Pocono Raceway.
  • Built Timber Hill Ski Area and a 600-lot subdivision and ran it as a family business for 10 years.

1970 – Made final investment in Pocono Raceway; converted all our warrants; took control and ousted all other major investors.

1984 – Mattioli Foundation

1990 – Pocono Raceway real estate acquisitions

1995 – Pocono Raceway Campground

1999 – Blakeslee Inn & Restaurant

2003 – South Boston Speedway in South Boston, Virginia

2006 – The Village at Pocono – A brand new full service extended stay resort that will feature up to 1000 1& 2 bedroom rental units. These units can be rental on a daily, weekly or seasonal basis.

2007 – Mattco Inc. is still a wholly owned family business. In these past 55 years our $48 investment is now a company with holdings in excess of $600 million dollars.
