POCONO RACEWAY TO ENTER NEW ERA IN TICKETING
RACE FANS TO ENJOY NEW CUSTOMER BENEFITS WITH COMCASTTIX AS ITS NEW TICKETING COMPANY
(Pocono, PA – September 26, 2007) – The Pocono Raceway, the two-and-a-half-mile super speedway in Long Pond, PA, has selected New Era Tickets, the full-service ticketing subsidiary of Comcast-Spectacor, as their full-service ticketing system and marketing partner for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the ARCA RE/MAX Series events.
Powered by New Era Tickets, ComcastTIX also provides full service ticketing for numerous public assembly facilities and events throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region, including the Wachovia Center and Wachovia Spectrum. In addition, New Era Tickets’ marketing services will assist the Pocono Raceway team with dedicated high-level attention to fostering long term customers and generating new fans.

Pocono Raceway has long been recognized as one of NASCAR’s most competitive raceways. The Raceway’s unique two-and-a-half-mile track features three turns, each with its own degree of banking. Pocono Raceway will host two NASCAR Sprint Series races – the Pocono 500 on Sunday, June 8, 2008, and the Pennsylvania 500 on Sunday, August 3, 2008.
New Era Tickets will provide Pocono Raceway with access management technology, including wireless scanners so the Raceway can now begin to track attendance and customer patterns. Pocono Raceway will utilize this new customer data to create new and exciting opportunities for its customers.
