LONG POND, Pa. (Nov. 14, 2016) – In a continued effort to take care of its fans and create exciting experiences and lifelong memories, Pocono Raceway today announced it will offer a Worry-Free Weather Guarantee. This guarantee is FREE to all Pocono fans that hold a Sunday Grandstand, Club or Suite ticket to either NASCAR Premier Series race or Verizon INDYCAR Series race in 2017.
The Worry-Free Weather Guarantee ensures fans that purchased Sunday tickets directly from Pocono Raceway in advance will be reimbursed the face value if weather postpones the race and they are unable to make the re-scheduled event. Pit/Paddock Passes will also be eligible for reimbursement when they are purchased with a Sunday grandstand ticket.
“Since 1971, we have hosted 101 NASCAR and INDYCAR races and only six of those have been postponed. After a tough year with three rainouts, we listened to our fans and instituted the Worry-Free Weather Guarantee,” said Brandon Igdalsky, Pocono Raceway President & CEO. “Now, if one of our Sunday races is impacted by weather and it is postponed, those fans who cannot make it on the re-scheduled day will be reimbursed the face value of their ticket. This demonstrates our level of commitment to the greatest fans in motorsports.”
All fans who purchase advance tickets and cannot attend a Sunday race that is postponed on the makeup date will receive a check for the face value listed on their tickets, no questions asked.
The Worry-Free Weather Guarantee protects those who purchase tickets in the grandstands, suites and clubs for the NASCAR Premier Series Axalta “We Paint Winners” 400 on June 11, the NASCAR Premier Series Pennsylvania 400 on July 30 and the Verizon IndyCar Series ABC Supply 500 on August 20.

As a Ticket Holder for Thirty Six years. I started buying 7 tickets it dropped to 5 now it is only 2, but we have been having a great time every year. IT IS GREAT THAT YOUR NEW POLICY IS TO REBATE @ Face Valve those patrons who can not stay for a RAINED OUT race to be run on Monday. That will Help and KEEP everyone Very Happy financially, but unhappy, that it had rained. Because we NASCAR FANS are Die Hard Fans. Thanks for that PERFECT DECISION to refund the face value of the ticket, because some people bring their family and you know it can be a costly trip for some of us.The Food prices could be a little bit cheaper or maybe have some type of a meal deal, price. The next OBSTACLE is, people bring way TOO BIG of a COOLER to the track. The Cooler Size should be enforced, as the glass bottle already is. Pocono Raceway is My Favorite track and the Pocono Mtns. area is a nice place to visit too. Your track is a well maintained track, the facilities are kept clean, as well as the rest rooms. I appreciate those things very much. I Can not wait to visit Pocono Raceway Very Soon. Keep Up The Good Work!!
