LONG POND, Pa. (May 30, 2017) – Country music sensation Tim Dugger will headline the infield entertainment at Pocono Raceway during the Axalta presents the Pocono 400 race weekend.
An Alabama native, Dugger sings about the people he knows and things he likes to do. He will perform in the Infield Block Party on Saturday, June 10.
Dugger is scheduled to take the stage Saturday at 9:45 p.m. following the Fireworks Spectacular.
Local artists 40 lb. Head will perform two sets on Saturday beginning at 5 p.m. Voted “Best Local Artists,” by a local magazine, 40 lb. Head is synonymous with fun and covers one-hit wonders and rock tunes from the ‘80s, ‘90s and now.
Food and beverage and games will be offered as well.
The Infield Block Party is free for all Pocono Raceway camping guests. The public is invited to Saturday’s event with a $10 fee that benefits the Tunkhannock Township Fire Department. Fans who do not have race tickets can enter through the tunnel at Pocono Raceway beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The JR Nation Block Party will be held on Friday, June 9 and is exclusively for Pocono Raceway camping guests.
Social Call, based out of the Lehigh Valley, will take the stage at 5 p.m. on Friday. Described by fans as melodic, gritty, soulful and powerful, Social Call plays hits from the ‘60s and 70s to today’s rock.
Following Social Call’s performance, JR Motorsports NASCAR XFINITY Series drivers Elliott Sadler, Michael Annett, Justin Allgaier and William Bryon will take the stage for a question-and-answer session and musical games.
Scott Marshall & Marshall’s Highway will close the JR Nation Block Party with a performance beginning at 8 p.m. The multi-piece band is heavy in style, potency and nature with driving beats.
Pocono Raceway will host seven national motorsports events during the 2017 racing season, including a NASCAR XFINITY Series race on June 10. The Axalta Presents Pocono 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) race is set for June 11, the Pennsylvania 400 MENCS race on July 30 and the ABC Supply 500 Verizon IndyCar Series race on August 20. The Pocono Mountains 150 NASCAR Camping World Truck race is scheduled for July 29 and two ARCA Series Presented by Menards races with General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200 on June 9 and the ARCA Racing Series 150 on July 28 offered as well.
