Hey Race Fans,
Sorry that it’s been so long since I wrote my last blog. We’ve been busy here at “The Tricky Triangle” the last few months. Announcements left and right about 400-miles races next year and a brand new surface! I can only speak about my experiences from this past year here, but I think next year is going to go above-and-beyond anything fans of Pocono Raceway have seen in a long time!
Besides all the hard work being done to get our track up and running next year, lots of work is being done behind the scenes. I can’t give away too many of our secrets, but fan interaction is going to go way up. We have ideas to initiate both at, and away from, the track that will blow your mind! Okay, it might not be that monumental, but we think our ideas will definitely be more enjoyable everyone.
To start some of that interactive, we created an interactive Fan Page Tab on our Facebook Page. Have you had the chance to check it out yet? There’s a sweet promotion we’re running that includes tickets, hotel accommodations and pit passes for four guests to our June race weekend. Also included are a gas card and a meet & greet with your favorite NASCAR driver. If you “Like” us on Facebook already, you can check it out by clicking on the Fan Tab (with the Pocono Raceway logo) to the left of our Wall. For all others, go ahead and “Like” us on Facebook by clicking www.facebook.com/poconoraceway. Stay tuned in the next few months on another Facebook “facelift!”
On top of that, because I truly enjoy interacting with our fans, I wanted to make sure we’d put a face behind the Pocono Posse. I’ve created a Facebook page exclusively so people can contact me directly and engage in a conversation. Come find me (Kevin Pocono Raceway) and become my friend by clicking www.facebook.com/poconoposseguy. I’ll post a bunch of stuff about things going on around at the track and some items from my life in NASCAR there. I’ll also answer any questions you have that you don’t want to put up on Fan Page Wall.
Besides working, I’m definitely a race fan at heart. I’ve had the privilege of working with lots of people in the NASCAR community and I love seeing friends’ race teams/drivers win or have a good race. And this year’s excitement has been amazing. I mean the Nationwide and Truck Series championships are still wide open…but the true rollercoaster ride has been this season’s Chase.
Who’s your pick to be the Cup champ? Can Tony beat the consistency of Edwards? Will Johnson or Kenseth rally late? How about Harvick…we know he’ll do anything to win? Can Keselowski cap off a breakout season in style?
The thing that makes this season even better, for me, is I’ll be in Homestead to see it all finish up in a few weeks. In addition to that, I’m really excited because I’ll be attending the Nationwide/Truck Series Awards Banquet in South Beach! Don’t worry, I’ll be posting plenty of updates for our fans across the country.
Well, that’s about all the time I have right now, but I’ll be back in a few weeks with a pre-Homestead blog.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Since the Pocono races are going to be 100 miles less or 20%, Will tickets also be 20% less?
