Celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department (PMRPD) and help support their K-9 Unit for an entire year!
Pocono Raceway is offering a special fundraising ticket program where 15% of each ticket sold will benefit the PMRPD’s Foundation and their support of the K-9 Unit. The fundraising goal has been set at $4,900. This would provide training and supplies for the K-9 Unit for one full year.
The PMRPD K-9 Unit consists of Corporal Matt Nero, Officer Joe Lutkowski, Creed (a two-year-old Belgian Malinois) and Hilo (a two-and-a-half-year-old German Shepherd.) This unit has seized astounding sums of drug currency and narcotics that’s value exceeds millions. They work closely with FBI, DEA and neighboring agencies, to keep drugs and organized crime off our streets and busy interstates. Often the ‘lead’ in dangerous situations, exposing concealed weapons and apprehending felons, K9 Units here and across the country continue to protect our officers…our community.
The PMRPD serves Pocono Raceway, Mount Pocono Borough and the Townships of Barrett, Coolbaugh, Tobyhanna, and Tunkhannock.

Note: Kids, ages 12 and under, are free to attend Sunday NASCAR and INDYCAR events, Kids ages 6 and under are free to attend ‘The Great Pocono Raceway Air Show” in 2019. A kids ticket can be added when placing your order, free of charge. For more info, click here.
