My son had a little mishap this summer and broke his leg. I wasn’t sure how hunting season was going to go. We decided to try and go out even though his leg is still in a cast ( till Monday). We decided to just sit in the orchard where we had been seeing some deer regularly. I thought its was kind of hot to hunt but he really wanted to go out and try out the crossbow. This guy was the third deer we saw that night. We passed on two small doe earlier. It came out of the wood at about twenty yards or so and he made a great shot. It ran back in the woods and piled up fifty yards or so from where we shot it. I know he is really excited and this one will be hard to beat for a story for a long time.
