LONG POND, Pa. (August 11, 2016) – Mouth-watering wings, nearly double the vendors from a year ago, $4,000 in prizes, live music and cold beverages and print-at-home and mobile ticket options to ensure no lines, are among the highlight of Pocono Raceway’s Pennsylvania Wing Fest, Saturday, August 13.
Over a dozen area restaurants will be on hand Saturday, showcasing some of the area’s best wings and competing for four, $1,000 prizes and wing supremacy.
Barley Creek, the Shawnee Inn, the Wing King, Pocono Medical Center/Metz, Lucky’s Sporthouse, TGI Friday’s, Log Cabin Bar & Grill, Shenanigan’s, Frogtown Chop House, Trail’s End, Frogtown Inn & Six 6 Acres Restaurant and Van Gilders Jubilee will all be at Pocono Raceway showcasing a host of wing options for any and all taste buds.
Four prizes will be award at the Wing Fest, including hottest wing, best buffalo wing, best alternative wing and judges’ choice.
Gates to the Pennsylvania Wing Fest will open at 11 a.m. and the event will run until 6 p.m. rain or shine at Pocono Raceway’s Chalet Village. Fans will enter Pocono Raceway through Gate 8 off of Route 115.
Admission is just $10 and print-at-home or mobile delivery is recommended to avoid lines. Tickets purchased on-line at www.poconoracewway.com will be entered to win one of three race ticket packages for the 2017 racing season at Pocono Raceway.
In addition to the local restaurants, John Hay Cigars, SuperSoft Ice Cream, the Beef Jerky Outlet and craft beers will also be offered.
Live music will begin at 11 a.m. with The Ricky Bobby Band, following by Schmidtwood Flow. The Harlan Tucker Trio is scheduled to play at 2:20 p.m., followed by Society.
Tricky’s Kit Kamp will be open during the event as well as other age-appropriate activities.
